In the opening scene of  The Dark Knight, the fast editing makes things feel tense and unpredictable. The cuts between the robbers and the Joker, showing that he’s in control of everything, even though things are falling apart. The quick cuts and close-ups on his face make him seem calm, which makes the audience feel uneasy because he's surrounded by violence. Sometimes, the scene goes quiet before something shocking happens, making the audience feel nervous and unsure of what’s coming next. All of this shows the Joker as someone who loves creating chaos, setting up the deeper, complicated themes of the movie.
